The Cembalet Piano Desk is an homage to the iconic electro-mechanical piano produced by Hohner in the mid-20th century. Crafted from solid walnut, the piece reinterprets the original instrument’s presence through the lens of fine furniture, balancing historical reference with contemporary restraint. A fold-up lid conceals the keyboard when at rest and opens to reveal an integrated, tapered sheet-music shelf made from a contrasting timber—introducing both function and quiet visual tension. The desk’s distinctive leg geometry gives it a confident, slightly forward stance, grounding the piece while allowing it to feel light in the room. Designed to sit comfortably among discerning furniture collections, the Cembalet Piano Desk bridges instrument, object, and environment with intention.
