Sunset Slider Handplane
The Sunset Slider Handplane was born from a simple ritual: when the wind kicks up and it’s too blown-out to surf, I grab a handplane and bodysurf the last light of the day. After years of shaping and riding countless variations of hand planes, this moon-tail, concave-bottom design has become one of my favorites. Balanced lift, smooth trim, and a playful feel—it just works. So I’m offering it to the world.
Each handplane is handmade and shaped individually, typically in beautifully aromatic Spanish Cedar, but also available in Douglas Fir, Red Fir, White Fir, or Redwood.
Every board is sealed with a robust hard-wax oil and finished with a generous coat of Odie’s Wax, providing a durable made to last hand plane.
