Kissaten Bar

Modular Artisanal Wet Bar
Commercial Commission
Venice Beach

Inspired by the intimacy and ritual of Japanese kissaten coffee houses, the Kissaten Bar is a modular espresso station designed to anchor hospitality spaces with warmth, precision, and calm.

Composed of four interlocking cabinet modules set on concealed casters, the bar is designed for flexibility—able to adapt to space, service flow, and daily use. The front faces are wrapped in artisanal vertically textured tile, while the work surfaces feature a considered combination of mineral plaster and white oak countertops, balancing tactile durability with natural warmth.

An integrated sink and water station support full espresso service, while a custom copper toe kick grounds the piece and introduces a subtle metallic counterpoint. The result is a functional object that lives comfortably between furniture and architecture—designed for ritual, craft, and gathering.
